Performance of automated external defibrillator in moving ambulance vehicles

چکیده
Introduction Current resuscitation guideline recommends that automated external defibrillator (AED) should never be placed in the analysis mode during transport because the movement of the vehicle can interfere with rhythm assessment. To date, no direct comparison of the AED performance at the scene and in a moving ambulance has been made. The aim of this study was to determine the intensity of vibration in a moving ambulance and to evaluate the influence of movements during transport on AED performance.

Automated External Defibrillator Using Flying Robotic Ambulance
The Purpose of this paper is to introduce a flying robot that saves lives of victims in case of sudden cardiac arrests .we have designed this robot to bring along an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to help the lay rescuers in providing first aid to the victim before the arrival of ambulance .Once when the cardiac arrest occurs, signal would be transmitted to the AmbuFBot station by sensi...

BACKGROUND Ambulance personnel play an essential role in the 'Chain of Survival'. The prognosis after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest was dismal on a rural Danish island and in this study we assessed the cardiopulmonary resuscitation performance of ambulance personnel on that island. METHODS The Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) skills of the ambulance personn...

Sudden cardiac death remains a worldwide health problem. More than 1000 such deaths occur daily in the United States; most are secondary to ventricular fibrillation (VF). Unfortunately, only about 5% of victims survive. Sudden cardiac death is the most common “accidental” death in the US. A combined total of all airline, automobile, and drowning deaths would not equal the number of accidental o...
